AT A GLANCE GETTING HERE You can get here by car, bus or rail and bus. Travelling by car Free parking is available at both sites. The Heritage Centre and Icehouse are at the north end of the village. On entering Findhorn, continue along the sea front, then follow the signs at the Crown and Anchor Hotel to The Heritage Centre. If the Heritage Centre and Icehouse parking areas are full, then continue along the road past the Icehouse for 150 metres and use the West Beach parking area on the right. Travelling by bus - Catch Stagecoach 31 bus from Forres and alight at Findhorn Post Office (5 mins Walk). Timetable details at www.stagecoachbus.com Travelling by train - The nearest train station is at Forres, about 6 miles away. Buses are available from Forres to Findhorn (see above). PARKING At both properties there is a drop-off point and parking adjacent to the main entrance on a flat grassed surface. Parking is free of charge. LEVEL STEP FREE ACCESS There is level, step-free access from the main entrance to the whole of the Icehouse and most of the Heritage Centre. TOILET FACILITIES There are toilet facilities, including an accessible toilet, within the Heritage Centre and an additional recently refurbished toilet block a short distance away near the sand dunes. CHILDRENS QUIZ A short childrens quiz is available at both properties with simple questions to encourage learning about Findhorn. A small prize is offered the the first few correct entries drawn at the end of each season. REFRESHMENTS There are no refreshment facilities, but several cafes and pubs are available a short distance away within the village. DOGS AND ASSISTANCE DOGS All dogs are welcome and water bowls are provided for them. OVERSEAS VISITORS Laminated guides to the Icehouse are available in French, German, Spanish and Dutch.
